Father Son Weekend 2025 - Event full registarations closed

In today’s busy world, it is often difficult for fathers to find time to spend alone with their sons. The Father-Son Weekend provides an opportunity to have fun, learn, grow, create, love, honour and—most importantly—play.

Father-Son Weekend aims to create an opportunity for dads and other male role models to gather with their sons. We also welcome grandfathers, uncles, mentors and big brothers to join us.

This weekend is open to both Mankind Project members and non-members.

Activities include: campfire, sports, water balloon capture the flag, mask making, conflict resolution, survival game, storytelling, Teen Welcoming Ceremony(13+), rituals, and plenty of nature. All activities are optional.

INTENTION: To create a safe & fun place for fathers and sons to rediscover the bonds between them.

Recommended for sons 5 years of age and older.

It is our intention that:

·       Each father and son will become skilled with a transparent, simple model of feelings —what they are, how they are experienced, and the choices each of us has with what to do with them.

·       Opportunities to practice a model for simple, straightforward, clean conflict resolution. The intention is for father and son to learn more effective communication methods.

·        Each son age 12 and older will be welcomed into the circle of men and honored through a ceremony prepared by the fathers.

·        Each father and guest will deepen the bonds in their relationship.

Included in the weekend:

• Friday evening snack

• Saturday three squares

• Sunday breakfast & lunch

• Two Overnights

  
  

  Sheltered space for your mattress is limited. First Registrations/Elders with payment get first options.

Otherwise please bring a tent.        

After Registering, you will be contacted by the Father Son Weekend Coordinator to continue the application process.

• Payment of fees does NOT automatically guarantee your acceptance to the weekend.

• The coordinator will determine your acceptance of the application.
